Guruji - My first photography teacher!

It was YES!+ teachers' exclusive meet with Guruji in His kutir on 23rd July 2008. We sat there infront of him for almost the whole of afternoon :-). As ever He was at his coolest best. Sitting on his chair adorned with a beautiful peacock feather! He did not talk to us much individually but infinity was getting conveyed every moment. When bawa asked , "Guruji anything you would like to say to the team", his only message was "Take bigger courses!" Bawa later said He did not say anything because all of us together are doing a great job!
I captured this picture of Guruji with my canon D400 DSLR with a Tamron 2.8, 17mm-50mm lens mounted on it, my only lens so far! Notice the peacock feather, the chair, Ganesha's murthi decked with flowers, bananas on the left, and his mobile !! I can go on writing about those micro moments with Him but will come back to the title topic!

As we were sitting Prashant got in fresh coconuts from our organic farms in the ashram. Guruji's picture above pic was when he was conversing with prashant about the size of the coconuts. As i was taking His pic, I was told to picture the coconuts as well!. I took a few shots on my own without any divine interference! But that was not to be. He started telling me who should be holding the coconuts, where the subject should be standing, where I should be standing,  about too much light or too little light, what should be the background, guiding alpa also to hold the coconut in a the way its visible properly!. Almost everthing about photography was taught to me by him in this quick lesson!... Ofcourse I was nervous - I did not want to miss out on any single instruction He was giving and I am totally new to photography. Its my first professional camera and I am just an amatuer at it.  He knows how to stretch your limits to make you shine out in every single thing you are doing!!!

I am sure I will go a long way with my photography with such a shubh mahoorata to my photography lessons :-)
btw do you notice the SHEER SIZE of the coconut!!! It HUUUUGE !! It has become this huge listening to vedic chants which are put thru a speaker system in our farms!!! Its maybe enough from one small family to drink from!... There was also another vegetable in His room which was i think a ghiya. It was 10 times the normal size. I am not exaggerating!  Just imagine what we can do to our agriculture with vedic farming !!! People, if you are into farming go get the fundaes from the ashram and apply them in your farms.

love
Jai Gurudeva!
Ramnik

  16. amazing... personal learning from the Guru on photography, too good!

I am also fond of photography. I use any ordinary camera that I can get hold on. Will show some photos.

Is it some photo editing or may be your special camera has a bit wide angle. the sunset photos and photo of Guruji is wider than usual it seems!

by the way, Sabari and I have a blog now:

I also need organic nariyal pani :) here in US lots of things come with preservatives once one of my friend was telling after our death if somebody want to make mummies out of our bodies they wont have to put any preservative as already so much preservatives are flushed into our flesh and blood :D hahahhaha
